Psychotherapy for people affected by cancer
Where people affected by cancer discover strength they never knew they had.
Are you or a loved one living with cancer?
Whether you are reeling from the initial diagnosis, entrenched in active treatment or navigating survivorship in a post-treatment world - having trusted people to talk to provides a lifeline while reducing anxiety and isolation. Maybe your loved one is diagnosed with cancer. You are trying your best to adjust to being a caregiver, and you find yourself filled with insecurities, doubts, and fears.
Whatever the reason that brought you here…..this isn't the life you expected or planned for. You have so many questions and emotions that need to be expressed. You need help to process this new reality and to validate your experience.
It took a lot of courage just to arrive at this website. I celebrate your reaching for help.
Your priorities suddenly and unexpectedly changed. You are likely feeling an overwhelming combination of shock, sadness, fear, anger, confusion, disappointment, isolation, anxiety, and depression. It is hard to talk honestly with friends and family sometimes. Many just don't understand what you're going through. You keep a lot of your thoughts and fears to yourself.
Perhaps you need to be strong all the time so you don't worry your loved ones.
Talking plainly about your feelings relieves pressure and confusion, builds confidence and connection, and uncovers unexpected support, strength, and hope.
You are invited to share your cancer journey here in a safe and warm environment without judgment or expectation, and if you choose, with a group of others like you. Your story matters, and it really needs to be shared and validated. There is no wrong way to feel.
You are not alone.
Let me help you discover strength you never knew you had.
